Danielle doesn't remember her life without having a pet! Her passion and love for dogs grew with HER first dog, Bailey. For 11 years, Bailey was her everything. Two years after her passing, Danielle volunteered for a local rescue and met a dog named Sammy. Meeting Sammy pushed Danielle to become involved with our local rescue organizations and she began to foster. During this time, she learned of a missing dog and decided to do everything in her power to help find it. Not only did the team find "Savannah" it was during this time when she met Tammy. Shortly after that amazing rescue, Danielle met Dee. Not only had she find two people just as passionate for the community and pets as she is, but she had found two, true friends. Danielle is so happy to be a part of this endeavor and knows from experience that this community will support these efforts.
Tammy acquired her love for dogs from her father, who was the most softhearted man she has ever known. Needless to say, her family dogs were very spoiled and loved. And the tradition continues…. Born and raised in SC, Tammy has lived in the HHI/Bluffton area for about 30 years and has always felt at home in the Lowcountry. Tammy is the CFO for a software developer, but in her spare time, she gives back assisting with search and rescue missions and posting lost animals on Social Media. In early 2015, Tammy rallied with others to help find Miss Ellie, a tiny, white fluffy pup who was lost. They found her after 13 days in extremely cold temps. It's reuniting animals with their owners that she finds so rewarding. With their years of experience, Tammy is ready to continue promoting the welfare of animals through fostering, placement, search + rescue
Originally from Anderson, SC, Dee has resided in the HHI/Bluffton area for 29 years. After Dee and her husband became empty nesters, she decided it was time to become more involved in the community and wanted to work with animals. In 2011, Dee met the staff and volunteers at Jasper Animal Rescue Mission and knew that is where she wanted to contribute her efforts. Just a year later, Dee was elected to Jasper Animal Rescue Mission’s board of directors, where she continues to serve. Over time, Dee has realized not only was she helping animals, but she was also helping people. There is so much truth to the saying, “Who Rescued Who”. Dee is very excited to be working with these ladies and looks forward to making a difference. One of her favorite sayings is “Saving One Animal Won’t Change the World but It Will Change the World for That One Animal”
New to our team is Heather Bradley, our Foster coordinator. Heather has been a huge asset to FFP's over the past year with our fostering program and she will now be in charge of coordinating all our fosters.
Our organization is a foster based program so we are unable to operate without you opening your doors as a foster family! As a foster, you provide a warm bed and loving home and we will provide the rest. If interested, please get in contact with us by emailing Heather at foster4friends.paws@yahoo.com
